More Indian-Americans named in Biden-Harris administration – Times of India

WASHINGTON: Continuing the push for a broader, more diverse administration better reflecting the demographic changes in America, the Biden-Harris transition team on Friday named a slew of Indian-Americans to key posts in the incoming administration.
Civil rights attorney Vanita Gupta was nominated to be the Associate Attorney General, academic Tarun Chhabra was named Senior Director for Technology and National Security in the White House National Security Council, former foreign service office Sumona Guha was named Senior Director for South Asia in the NSC, and former journalist Shanthi Kalathil, was named Coordinator for Democracy and Human Rights.
The appointments follow the nomination of other PIOs at the cabinet and sub-cabinet levels, including Neera Tanden to head the Office of Management and Budget and Vivek Murthy as Surgeon General.
Also named in recent days are Bharat Ramamurti as Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, Gautam Raghavan
as Deputy Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel, Vedant Patel as Assistant Press Secretary in the White House, Vinay Reddy as Director of speechwriting, and Mala Adiga as Policy director for incoming First Lady Jill Biden.
